While technically this isn't action research, it is data to support the Performance Gap slides. Our 17-year-olds' reading and math scores have remained unchanged in over four decades. The slides have citations for when you are asked "Where did tha...

Hi, I've been involved with SIM for about 20 years. I received my initial training in Texas. I am currently teaching Art, but am going to be moving into a Special Ed. positionnext year. I am currently beginning work on my doctorate in Education, and will be conducting a major action research project as part of my doctoral project (it is not a traditional research/dissertation program.) I was very intrigued by this network and thought I might learn something useful...

Interesting about the other McWilliams...I plan on going into Curriculum when I finish my doctorate. Most of my relatives are in Louisiana, but we very well could be related. There is also a woman in my doctoral program that is married to a McWilliams. I don't run into to too many of us.

Thanks for the invitation, Sue. I'll try to gather some data when I return home. I have pre & post test data from my classrooms since I started teaching SIM in '99. I'll have to look for the building data.

Thank you for welcoming me. I am looking forward to seeing what the group posts.

I will not be in Kansas this year. I am going to England. I will need to find a session during the year to attend.
